Bio

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him" James 1:5

I was born in El Paso, TX and I currently live with my wife and two children in the north Dallas suburb of Frisco. Over the years I've lived and worked in Southern California, and Laredo, Austin, and Plano, TX. As a result of my journey, I've been exposed to people from all over the world and a wide range of cultures.

Professionally, I spent a little over five years in retail management, a year as the Administrator of a dental lab, some time working in the accounting department of a neon sign company, a stint taking concentrate orders for a major soft drink manufacturer, and working in the engineering department of a wholesale lumber company.

On a personal note, I am a huge Dallas Cowboys fan (since I was 6) and I also enjoy reading, baseball, and studying the weather. At one time, I taught an adult Sunday school class and, more recently, I spent two years teaching Sunday school in the children's ministry of my church. However, my favorite activity of all is being Daddy.

I continue to live a life full of blessings and I take my Christian faith, with all of its implications, into everything I do, especially my writing. I have enjoyed writing since the third grade (ask me to tell you about "The Giant Eggplant" series) and I feel extremely fortunate to be able to "work" doing something I love.

Feel free to call or e-mail if you are interested in my testimony-I love to share the great things God has done in my life.

“ For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for wholeness and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11

When I was six, I wanted to be the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys. Reality set in while I was in high school and I changed my plan deciding to pursue a career in sports broadcasting. I became a theater major during freshman orientation and then quit college 2 months later with yet another plan for my life.

We all make plans, both short term and long term. It is easy to become upset, depressed or even angry when things don’t go as we planned. I spent most of my first decade out of high school experiencing all of those emotions, constantly longing for what should have been.

God knows what is best for us and, like any loving parent, spends a great deal of time saving us from our own wants and desires. As I look back on my life I can see where God intervened to make sure I didn’t get what I wanted. I can honestly say that things have turned out much better than I could have imagined. It seems Father really does know what’s best!
